Living the good life

Garry and I decided to chill out by the pool on our cruise ship this afternoon. We’ve already swum in the Caribbean a couple of times, and I gave the pool a quick spin earlier this week. After spending the morning onshore in Bequia we decided we’d seen enough. In my humble opinion, the pool is much cooler than the sea.

However, our version of decadence is not match for that of our neighbours. Andromeda, a mega yacht anchored nearby, is definitely next level. It currently has a helicopter parked out the back, alongside an enclosed hangar. There’s also a dual crane system in the bow for lifting its 21-metre tender boat onboard (or unload an explorer class zodiac).

According to Google, it also has a swimming pool, plus accommodation for 30 guests with quarters for 40 crew. Google says it was last on the market for US$250 million. The boat was originally built for New Zealand billionaire Graeme Hart in 2018. I must admit I’ve never heard of him.
